Past 2 months

In Delhi on Holi day. Holi is the holiday to celebrate the arrival of Spring. Everyone is fully colored and drinking!

Ah I had been away from blogging again. Not good!

Time flies it's past 2 months already since I started living here.  Things has unchanged so far, but I got to go to business trip to Bangalore, Baroda, Mumbai, to Japan in mid-Feb and my private trip to Delhi in early Mar.  I initially planned to go more but I had some works to do and most importantly I had not got paid over 2 months! Can you believe it!?  Basically Indian are so so slow to do anything.  Our accountant would not have done anything If had not asked him to open my bank account in India.  Such a lazy ass! But now I am happy getting paid, and feel even greater after translating 31 pages of technical sheets. I will enjoy shopping and entertain myself watching movies or doing yoga (still not doing it ).  In addition I am thinking to buy bicycle since driving either car or motor bike is against company policy.  My house is located in the good area but still far from some places like supermarket, theater etc ..and I don't wanna be cheated by auto-rickshaw driver every time.

My friend in Delhi took me to the place called Kingdom of dreams in Gurgaon. It is like a theme park collected all Indian culture in one place.

Then...I started hiring a maid just for learning South Indian cuisine.  I've wanted to learn it for so long  but couldn't find any good cooking class.  I was so inspired to cook after hosting an American guy in my place.  He is actually a chef at Indian restaurant in North Carolina, he was trained to cook Indian food by Indian woman for 2 months. He now knows any type of Indian dish and more surprisingly he can speaks well Hindi!  I was so jealous after hearing all these stories and having his tasty Sambar....And yes, I also started hosting backpackers from all around the world.  I only hosted 2 persons so far since Vizag isn't the popular destination for foreign backpackers.  Honestly I get nervous and have great fear to speak strangers, especially to native English speakers.  I  pity myself that although  I've even traveled alone, been to many places and met many people, I still have trouble speaking to foreigners and being nervous!  So I thought hosting travelers is a good solution to improve my shyness toward strangers, even good for my English practice.  Moreover I like to hear their travel stories and cultural differences I think this is way better than being educated by textbook! From my experience, traveling teaches you so many things than school!

Before getting so busy in May, I will plan next trip maybe close to Vizag.  My future plans are tour to South India, Andaman and Nicobar Island and Sri Lanka! Can't wait!

I met my hindi teacher in Delhi to attend death anniversary of Nizamuddin.  Get to see qawwali performance.
